How to Make a Ring Display

How to Make a Ring Display

A lousy ring display will deter potential customers from your table at a craft show, farmer's market or your shop, no matter how impressive your rings are. Home Jewelry Business Success Tips says there needs to be a balance between eye-catching elements and restraint. Use props with various height dimensions and consistent colors and materials, Set up your table in an uncrowded fashion so that your rings, and not the display, remain the top attraction.

Instructions

    1

Decide on what colors you will use for your ring display. Home Jewelry Business Success Tips recommends using a maximum of three colors that fit the styles and tints of your rings.

    2

Visit secondhand stores, yard sales and flea markets to find elements for your display that fit your chosen colors and jewelry design. Look for a metallic or wooden tray, saucers or coasters, a vase, a glove and scarves or pieces of fabric.

    3

Fill a tray with small pebbles or rice. Use dark-colored pebbles or rice to display light-colored rings and vice-versa. Place rings at different angles on top of this material. Make sure the rings are spaced apart so that the display tray is not too cluttered.

    4

Fill your glove with cotton batting until it looks like a three-dimensional hand. Place one or two rings on the glove.

    5

Select two to three sticks of bamboo, flowers or thin branches and place them in your vase. Ideally their heights should be staggered. Position rings on buds, or slide them on sticks, so that they can be clearly seen.

    6

Place the ring tray in the center of the display table. Add more height dimension to your display by placing plastic containers on the table and covering them with scarves or fabric. Place coasters or saucers on top of each container and put one or two rings on each. Find spots for the vase and glove on the table.
