DIY Christmas Wedding Table Decorations

DIY Christmas Wedding Table Decorations

Most weddings are scheduled to avoid the holiday crush that occurs at the end of each calendar year, but if your wedding happens to coincide with the Christmas season, you can incorporate it into your wedding decor. Doing so injects an extra dose of festiveness and pairs the joy of celebrating Christmas with the beauty of the wedding itself. You can, for example, create Christmas-themed table decorations. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Set up candles on the table. Candles work well because they're associated with both Christmas and romance. The light they give off signifies romance, happiness and warmth (especially significant in the colder regions of the world). Focus on red, white and burgundy candles or a combination thereof.

    2

Use a wreath, preferably a natural one, as the centerpiece around which other decorations can be added. Wreaths have an obvious association with Christmas, but their greenery signifies new life and fertility, and they make an elegant, tasteful wedding decoration.

    3

Adorn the table with ribbons and bows, especially silver, white, red or green ribbons.

    4

Use mistletoe to adorn the table decorations. Mistletoe is another symbol that intersects with both Christmas and romance. While traditionally suspended from a doorway, it also works well as a tabletop adornment and adds greenery to balance the red, white, burgundy and other colors.

    5

Decorate the tables with poinsettia. Poinsettia is a classic Christmas flower, but its deep, lush red hue also connotes love and romance and will work well with the other decorations you have used.
