The standard billiard table, often referred to as a pool table, features six pockets--- one at each corner and one at the center of each long side. Through the combination of time and use, these pockets can wear down and, eventually, need to be replaced. The process of replacing a billiard table pocket is not a difficult task, provided you have the tools to do the job properly. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Remove the old pool table pocket by inserting a butter knife under the outer plastic fold holding the pocket in place and lifting. Work your way around the outer edge of the pocket until it pops loose.
2Lift the old pocket out of the table and place to the side.
3Insert the new pocket into the hole left by the old pocket. If necessary, apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of the pocket's outer plastic fold.
4Strike the outer edge of the pocket with a rubber mallet to ensure that it is firmly held in place.Do not strike the pocket too hard, otherwise you run the risk of breaking it.
