A successful clothing store has vibrant displays that tune in with the customer base. Displays must gear toward the people that shop in the store the most; this could be a certain age, gender, or economic class. Where displays are placed are an important part increasing sales in a retail clothing store.

Use your wall space. Murals on the wall are great, then add fixtures to hang and display the clothes on. This helps set a mood for your store; for example, a mural of children at a park is great for a children's clothing store.
2Place tables and hanging racks on the floor. Displaying some clothes folded and others hung adds color and texture to the sales floor. Racks come in several forms. Use the round ones to hold a quantity of like items. Square racks or facing racks show case unique items, by facing the front article towards the customer.
3Mix and match pieces to show customers different outfits and combinations. Displaying different outfits allows the customer to see how things look together, and increases sales.
4Place mannequins throughout the store. People like to see how the clothes are made to fit. A mannequin helps them envision the look of outfit or article of clothing.
