Christmas Trade Show Display Ideas

Christmas Trade Show Display Ideas

The festivity of the holiday season requires additional consideration for booth decorations. Competitors selling Christmas items likely will decorate their booths with much fanfare. Kim Lavine, author of Mommy Millionaire, explains that the most effective booth decorations are simple, with the product as the main focus. Using clever details and themes can be an inexpensive yet effective way to attract potential buyers.

Single Color

Each Christmas season, some houses are decorated using an obscene amount of lights, colors and decorations. Avoid cluttering your booth in this manner and choose just one color to use for lights, decorations and ornaments. Pick silver, gold, blue or red for your booth display. For example, use gold ribbons to tie around baskets, hang soft glittery curtains, and place gold snowflakes and ornaments on tables. Or accent the featured color with another: Pair silver with blue, gold with red, or blue with soft green.

Aerial Space

Decorating walls and tables are common, but few think of using the ceiling. Create a magical display by hanging icicles, snowflakes and ornaments from the ceiling of a tent using transparent fishing wire. If your product is small, one possibility is hanging the product itself from the ceiling. Place the most expensive products at the front of the booth to elicit the most attention. Tie the product in a loose bow for easy removal if the buyer would like to view the product first.

Christmas Lights

Using multi-colored Christmas lights might clash with your theme or logo that uses just two or three colors. Customized Christmas lights in the colors of your product can tie the booth display together. If your product color isn't available, purchase clear Christmas lights and paint them. Buy paint specifically made for painting glass or plastic. Hand-paint every other bulb in the string. To minimize the amount of labor needed for this project, purchase larger bulbs.

Hats

If your product is casual and fun, reflect this attitude by wearing Santa hats. Customize the white rim by using puffy paint to write the product brand or your name. Shop online to find different-colored Santa hats if red does not match the booth display.

Gingerbread

Make large gingerbread men and use icing to glue a brochure or picture of the product to their hands. Use large square gingerbread cookies to function as a poster; write the logo or product name in icing. Decorate the border using gumdrops and other candies. Use dark-brown cardboard as a less expensive alternative to making cookies. Make an ornate gingerbread house to attract buyers to your booth. Create a miniature billboard for the lawn of the house and use your business card as the sign.
